Welcome to the Department of Accounting at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). As we all know, today’s world is a world of industrialization and globalization. Though Bangladesh is an agricultural country, rapid industrialization has become imperative for the country to keep pace with global development. To be successful in this competitive industrialized world, we need a huge skilled manpower in the field of accounting, finance, management, marketing etc. Again, as accounting is the language of business, so a business form without an accounting professional is incomplete. With due consideration of the this role and function Department of Accounting is successfully disseminating accounting knowledge to students since its inception in 2009. Our goal is to become a brand in developing expert human resources and also in expanding accounting knowledge through research. We are continuously enterprising the opportunities to become a top accounting hub of the country. It is also a matter of pride that our graduates are successfully entering into different organizations including banks, financial institutions, major national and multinational companies and some of them are also acting as entrepreneurs to serve the society as well. Objectives

To achieve the mission of BUBT, Dept. of Accounting pursues with the following objectives: Generate qualified graduates of high competence to meet the challenges of the new millennium. Administer students to gain a recognized graduation degree in the competitive market. Ensure sound ethics and code of conduct by its faculty members. Provide special knowledge in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Corporate Laws, Management, Information Technology and related subjects.
