The Civil Engineering (CE) Program is designed to follow the Outcome Based Education (OBE) Approach based on the Board of Accreditation of Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), Bangladesh program criterion. Thus, the department essentially takes care while structuring curriculum, offering and planning the courses, selecting faculties as well as takes challenges to attain necessary skills and proficiency of students in all areas of civil engineering: structural, geotechnical, water resources, environmental and transportation engineering so that accreditation standards are met completely. Our prime target is to achieve BAETE accreditation to assure our graduates IEB membership for their professional development.

There are opportunities of scholarship, stipend and tuition fee waiver for the students of BUBT.

• Scholarships, stipends and tuition fee waivers are awarded to a minimum of 6% students of the Department of CE on the basis of need and merit.
• 100% tuition fee waiver is awarded to the children of Freedom Fighters.
• For B.Sc. in CE Program special tuition fee waiver from 25% to 100% based on total GPA of SSC and HSC Examination results is offered to the first year students for two consecutive terms (one year).
• For subsequent terms tuition fee waiver is also awarded on the basis of the examination results of each term at the Department of CE of BUBT.
• Students of Dhaka Commerce College and Principal Kazi Faruky School & College are allowed an additional 20% tuition fee waiver.
