The Business Club of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) hosted the Hult Prize 2018’s BUBT session on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the University’s International Conference Hall, Rupnagar, Mirpur-2, Dhaka.
The ‘D.H.S. 3.0’ team with the idea of selling disabled people’s handicrafts online became the winner defeating ‘Thinkers’ and ‘Build Eco’ teams in the final round and secured the chance to go to Malaysia for Asia roundchase for 1 million USD prize.The D.H.S 3.0’s heroes are Md. Hasibur Rahman, Ashikur Rahman and Taibuzzaman. All are the BBA (Marketing) 39th Intake students of BUBT. A total of 41 teams were participated in the hunt in BUBT.
Prof. Dr. Syed Masud Husain, Dean, Faculty of Business; Mr. Md. Aslam Uddin, Chairman (Acting), Dept. of Marketing and Md. Thawhidul Kabir, Assistant Professor of Management were present as the jury to select the best team who came with innovative and sustainable social business ideas. Mr. A H M Azmal Hossain, Joint Registrar, BUBT also was present in the program as a guest of honor. Mr. Emdadul Haq, Campus Director of BUBT Hult Prize coordinated the arrangement.
The Hult Prize is a prize giving initiative by theHult Foundation and the United Nations to back the innovative startups.
