Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) hosted a discussion on Victory Day in its Hall Room on December 18, 2019. As the Chief Guest, Lt. Colonel (Retd.) Jafar Imam, Bir Bikram told the story of battlefield of the War of Liberation. He said that, the victory was possible, because, it was in the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and India supported us with their ammunition and solders. He also said that our governments and political parties should know the purpose of our Liberation. Dr. Shafique Ahmed Siddique, Hon’ble Chairman, BUBT Trust described the reality of the Liberation War as the Special Guest. Prof. Md. Abu Saleh, Vice Chancellor, BUBT presided over the discussion. He told the story of the December 16, 1971. He conferred a gold medal to the Chief Guest for his heroic contribution to the battlefield during the War. Prof. Mian Lutfar Rahman, Advisor, Students’ Affairs, BUBT delivered the welcome speech. Professor Syed Anwarul Huq, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities presented a story on how superpower countries dealt with the War. Distinguished Guests, Members of BUBT Trust, Honorable Treasurer, Deans of different faculties, Research Director, Senior Professors and Chairmen of different departments, Registrar, Controller of Exams, Joint Registrar, Proctor, Joint Director (Accounts), Officials, Teachers and students were present at the discussion. After the discussion students of BUBT staged a colorful cultural session.
