Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) observed the 25th March Genocide Day elaborately. On the occasion, the University organized a reminisce program entitled ‘25th March Genocide Day Remembrance and Discussion’ on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the University Hall Room, Rupnagar, Dhaka.
Mr. Md. Safiqueullah, DIG (retd) and Sub Sector Commander, Sector No. 11, reminisces the horrible night when people were killed by Pakistan Army. He said that the genocide in Bangladesh began on 25 March Dawn in 1971 with the launch of Operation Searchlight, as West Pakistan began a military crackdown on the Eastern wing of the nation to suppress Bengali calls for self-determination rights.
Professor Md. Abu Saleh, Vice Chancellor, BUBT presided over the program while Prof Md. Enayet Hossain Miah, Tresurer, BUBT and Prof Mian Lutfar Rahman, Proctor, BUBT were Special Guests. Prof. Syed Anwarul Huq Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities and of Social Sciences, BUBT, delivered the Welcome Speech. Deans of all faculties; Director, IQAC; Registrar; Controller of Examinations; Director; Career Guidance; Chairmen of all departments; faculty members; officials and students were present at the program. Mr. Kajal Kumar Dash, Lecturer, Dept. of English, anchored the program.
