Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) observed Independence Day-2018 with the participation in national program by singing the national anthem “Amar Sonar Bangla,” written by Rabindranath Tagore, in correct form at 8am on Monday across the country and Bangladesh missions abroad on the Independence Day. On the occasion, the University also organized Discussion and cultural program at 10: am, March 26, 2018 at the University Hall Room, Rupnagar, Dhaka.
Physician, freedom fighter and Cultural worker Dr. Sarwar Ali, Trustee, Muktijuddho Jadughor, described the Independence Day elaborately in sharing his experiences as the Chief Guest. He said that, whole nation had taken part in the War in 1971 to achieve freedom. Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Siddique, Chairman, BUBT Trust and Mr. A F M Sarwar Kamal, Member and Ex Chairmen of BUBT Trust, were present as Special Guests.
Professor Md. Abu Saleh, Vice Chancellor, BUBT presided over the program while Prof Mian Lutfar Rahman, Proctor, BUBT were present as the program coordinator. Mr. Md. Shihab Rizwan, Member, BUBT Trust; Deans of all faculties; Director, IQAC; Registrar; Controller of Examinations; Joint Registrar; Joint Director, Accounts; Director; Career Guidance; Chairmen of all departments; OC, Rupnagar Police Station; faculty members; officials and students were present at the program. Mr. Md. Sabbir Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Dept. of English, anchored the program.
