To mark the 46th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day' 2021, Bangladesh University of Business & Technology (BUBT) organized an Online Discussion Program and prayer on August 15, 2021.
As the Session Chair of the program Prof. Dr. Md. Fayyaz Khan, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, BUBT said, “Bangabandhu trusted the people of the country. That is why he may have had to give his life at the hands of assassins. He loved the people of the country very much. If we want to take the country forward on the path of development, we have to work together to implement the ideals left by Bangabandhu.”
Prof. Md. Abu Saleh, Hon’ble Member, BUBT Trust was the Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker of the program. He said, “Bangabandhu was an uncompromising leader; if he had survived, we might have gained more prestige in the world as a brave nation.”
Prof. Dr. Md. Ali Noor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, BUBT said, “Those who sheltered the murderers of Bangabandhu with unacceptable indemnity and those who promoted them to various positions as a reward for their heinous deeds should apologize to the nation.” He was addressing as the Special Speaker.
Hon’ble Members of BUBT Trust, Treasurer, Deans of all faculties, Director of IQAC-BUBT, Chairmen of different departments, Registrar, Controller of Exams., Proctor, Joint Director of Accounts & Finance, teachers, students and staff of BUBT were present in the program.
Early in the morning, BUBT half-masted the national flag and the symbolic black flag at the university campus to pay tribute to all the martyrs who were brutally assassinated on the night of 15th of August, 1975.
