On Wednesday, 15th January 2025, The Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) hosted a successful Orientation Ceremony for the newly admitted students of the Spring 2025 Semester. The event took place at the Sports Complex of BUBT, bringing together esteemed guests, faculty members, and students to mark the beginning of an exciting academic journey.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Mohammad Mustafa Haider, Group Director of T.K. Group, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of education in shaping a brighter future and encouraged students to make the most of their time at BUBT.
Mr. A F M Sarwar Kamal, Member of the BUBT Trust, also attended as the Guest of Honor. In his address, he spoke about the significant role of higher education in personal and professional development, urging students to embrace challenges and pursue excellence.
The program was presided over by Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Vice Chancellor of BUBT, who shared words of wisdom and encouraged students to aim high in their academic endeavors.
Prof. Md. Abu Saleh, Advisor and Trust Member of BUBT, also attended as the Special Guest, offering insightful guidance on the academic journey ahead.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Books, followed by a welcoming speech from Prof. Syed Anwarul Huq, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Convenor of the Organizing Committee. In addition to speeches from the Registrar Dr. Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Deans of various faculties, including the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, the event featured inspiring addresses from an existing student and a newly admitted student, sharing their perspectives on life at BUBT.
Further enriching the ceremony, the Deputy Director of Career Guidance, Counseling, and International Affairs, the Proctor, and the Controller of Examinations delivered valuable speeches offering essential information and support to the students.
The presence of distinguished guests and thought-provoking speeches motivated and inspired the students to strive for success throughout their studies.
