Farewell Ceremony for Intake 49

Department of English, BUBT, arranged a farewell ceremony for Intake 49 of B.A. (Hons.) in English on March 10, 2024, at BUBT Cafeteria. Professor Syed Anwarul Huq, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Mr. Md. Sabbir Ahmad, Chairman, Department of English, Mr. Md. Abdullah Al Azad, Assistant Proctor, BUBT, Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman, Director, Career Guidance and Counseling, and the faculty members of English Department were present at the event.

The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Professor Huq delivered his valuable speech congratulating the departing students for successfully completing their Bachelor courses. Then the Assistant Proctor gave his thoughtful message to the students. After that, the Director of Career Guidance and Counseling, in his speech, encouraged the outgoing students for a new journey. The Chairman also congratulated the departing students and gave his vote of thanks to the teachers and volunteers of the department, who were associated with successfully arranging the program. Afterwards, Faria Ferdous, a student of Intake 50, recalled her memories and experiences with the outgoing students. Sarkar Elisa Lata, a student of the departing intake, shared her feelings on the occasion as well.

After the speeches, the outgoing students were presented with crests on behalf of the students of Intake 50. The students also celebrated the occasion with a delicious cake. The whole program was coordinated by Ms. Jannatul Ferdoush, Assistant Professor of English and conducted by Syeeda Haque, Lecturer in English.
