Helal Morshed Omiyo is a Lecturer at the Department of Law and Justice, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). He previously worked as the Junior Executive, Copyright, Legal at Bongo BD, the pioneer OTT platform in Bangladesh. He obtained his LLB and LLM from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, achieving multiple scholarships and accolades. His research interest is in the intersection between law and technology, constitutional law, and development. He is one of the few people who have won the national rounds of the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition twice. His team also holds the highest record, breaking through the advanced rounds (top 48) of the White & Case Jessup International rounds for the very first time by any team from Bangladesh, back in 2023.
