Tahmina Akhter, Assistant Professor is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Economics with a strong record of teaching, research, and academic excellence. She has completed her SSC and HSC in Humanities from Dhaka Board with outstanding results (GPA 5.00 in both). She has earned her B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Economics from Jahangirnagar University, achieving excellent academic performance with CGPAs of 3.92 and 3.98 respectively. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was awarded the prestigious ‘Prime Minister’s Gold Medal’ by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh in 2012. She began her academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) in October 2014 and serving till date. During this period, she was actively involved in teaching, examination processes, student counseling, and academic administration. Her research interests include Economic Growth, Exchange Rate Dynamics, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and Development Economics. She has published several research articles in different peer reviewed national and international journals. Additionally, she has completed professional training in applied research methodology, strengthening her analytical and research capabilities. She has successfully supervised a good number of undergraduate and postgraduate theses and projects. She has been recognized for her excellent student mentorship and professional service.
