Dr. Umme Habiba Rahman is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Economics, with a strong record of teaching, research, and academic excellence. She has completed her SSC in Art Group and HSC in Humanities from Jashore Board. She earned her BSS (Honours) and MSS in Economics from the Islamic University, achieving First class First in BSS and 2nd class 3rd respectively. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was awarded Board Scholarships in Higher Secondary Certificate Examinations. University Scholarship in Honorus. She began her career in an International Organization serves from 2002 to 2005. Then she enrolled in PhD program and completed her PhD in Economic from Islamic University in 2011. She joined the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) as a Lecturer in December 2018, where she was actively involved in teaching, examination processes, student counseling, and academic administration. Due to her dedication and academic contributions, she was promoted to Assistant Professor in August 2022, a position she holds till date. Her research interests in Poverty, Inequalities, Gender and Development. She has published several research articles in different peer-reviewed national, international journals and BUBT Journal. Additionally, she has completed professional training in intensive research methodology, strengthening her analytical and research capabilities. She has successfully supervised a good number of undergraduate theses. She has been recognized for her excellent student mentorship and professional service.
