Aug 08, 2026 - Aug 08, 2026 | Career
The Department of Management recently organized an industry
visit on 8th August 2026 to Akij Food & Beverage Ltd. (AFBL) in Dhamrai. A
total of 22 students of BBA majoring in Human Resource Management, from Intake: 60 joined the visit along with four
faculty members from the department.
The visit started with a warm reception from the AFBL
officials, followed by an orientation session on the company and its
operations. The students then visited two of the company’s factories and
observed how popular beverage products such as Mojo and Frutika are produced.
This gave them an opportunity to connect their classroom learning with
real-world industrial practices.
An insightful Q&A session followed, where senior
officials and four departmental heads including
Head of HR, Factory and Head of Admin, shared practical experiences on managing people, workplace
challenges, and crises in factory environments. The discussion was particularly
valuable as students learned how HR practices and leadership approaches can
differ in industrial settings where employees often work in more challenging
and potentially hazardous environments than typical corporate offices.
The visit also included a discussion on career and placement
opportunities for HRM graduates at AFBL, where the officials expressed positive
and encouraging views about potential employment opportunities. Overall, the
visit provided students with valuable practical knowledge, industry exposure,
and an opportunity to interact and network with experienced professionals.
The Department of Management looks forward to creating more
such industry-academia engagement opportunities to help students prepare for
their future careers.
