Welcome to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at BUBT! It is my much pleasure to express that the Faculty includes a large and vibrant Department of English, which offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supported by modern facilities such as a Language Lab, Reading and Writing Center, and Speaking Corner. Alongside academics, platforms like the English Club and cultural activities enrich students’ learning experiences and develop their confidence, creativity, and leadership. The Department is also contributing significantly to enhancing students’ English proficiency in other Departments for their academic and professional linguistic needs. In the Program—BA (Hons.) in English— the curriculum includes major authors of English Literature from the 15th to the 20th centuries and some courses on language and linguistics are also included to develop our students’ fundamental skills in those fields. The MA program in ELT comprises English Language Teaching, a comprehensive understanding of the areas of Applied Linguistics, and Research Methodology.
