Welcome to the Faculty of Social Sciences

It is my great pleasure in writing a few words for the existing and would be students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT). It is one of the prestigious faculties providing quality education to students through innovative teaching and learning process at an affordable cost for transforming its graduates into competent human resources. At the moment, Faculty of Social Sciences have only one Department named the Department of Economics. However, in near future more departments will be included under this Faculty. We are committed to maintain an excellent academic environment; encourage students to inculcate ethical, cultural and social values in their thoughts, actions and practices; build up a dynamic center of excellence in higher education and research for the creation of an ideal society; and develop students’ understanding of advances in knowledge and complexities of modern world for solution of problems of contemporary economy.
