Promoting the advocacy skills of law students and arranging professional career development programs for them which will prepare the law students for the competitive fields the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology Moot Court Society” is also known as “BUBT Moot Court Society-BMCS” was established on 26th August, 2019. BUBT Moot Court Society-BMCS is an organization devoted to the development of excellence in advocacy.
Aim of BMCS:
- To select, prepare and train exceptional groups of law students to make efficient
legal practitioners; - To encourage the students to be involved in the social development and bring a
change in the society by taking part in activities including but not limited to street
law, youth parliament sessions, and legal clinics; - To promote relationships and co-operation between law firms and members of the
society; - To achieve these goals, the society will organize such activities: to train its members by the experts in moot and advocacy, possibly by judges, advocates, and professors, and organize training to participate in regional and international moot
competitions;
Programs organized by the Society:
BUBT Moot Court Society promote various kinds of program among its members and students of BUBT. Such as-

- Public Speaking Competition
Apart from that, BUBT Moot Court Society regularly participates in many national and international moot court competitions, and have already secured a very competitive position. Name of those competitions are-

- K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition
- Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition
- The prof. N. R. Madhava Menon SAARCLAW Mooting Competition.
- Professor Shah Alam constitutional Moot Court Competition
- TIB Anti-Corruption Moot Court Competition
BMCS, as a society, understands that mooting is very important part in our legal education. Mooting is an art which demonstrates the interest in advocacy and competence as an advocate in this regard. A moot court competition simulates a court hearing, in which participants analyze a problem, research the relevant laws, prepare written submissions, and present oral argument.
Achievements of BMCS
- Runner – up in the BLLSA Moot Court Competition, 2021;
- Participated in the 2nd Shah Alam Constitutional Law Moot Competition 2020. Where 30 teams were selected after memorial selection round from various universities and BMCS ranked 3rd;
- Participated in the 1st Human Rights and Social Justice Summer School 2022 held in India;
- Participated in the 7th Winter School on Theory and Practice of Genocide Studies;
- Participated to the 18thK Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2022 held in India. Where 70 teams were selected after a memorial selection from various universities around the globe and BMCS was ranked 26;
- Participated in the 13th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition Bangladesh National Round – 2022 and secured 13th
