Department of English arranged a farewell ceremony for Intake 47 of B.A. (Hons.) in English on March 13, 2023, at the Cafeteria of Building–3, BUBT.  Professor Dr. Muhammed Fayyaz Khan, Vice Chancellor of the university, graced the occasion with his kind presence. In his speech, he bid farewell to the students of Intake 47 and wished them a bright future ahead. Professor Syed Anwarul Huq, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, also delivered his valuable speech congratulating the departing students for successfully completing their Bachelor courses. Md. Abdullah Al Azad, Assistant Proctor of the university, and Ms. Mushfeka Deeba, Assistant Professor of English, gave their thoughtful messages to the students. Md. Shawkat Ali, Chairman of the department and Wing Commander (Retd.) Md. Momenul Islam, Proctor of the university, were also present in the program.

Among the students of Intake 48, Anika Ali Nitu, Md. Mamun Hossain, Sharmin Sultana, and Abu Sayed Tanim Bahuya recalled their memories and experiences with the outgoing students. Tonima Binte Momin, one of the students of the leaving intake, shared her feelings on the occasion. After the speeches, each of the departing students was presented with a crest on behalf of the students of Intake 48. The students also celebrated the occasion with cakes.  After that, a cultural program was held where the enthusiastic students of the department participated in recitations, songs, and dance performances. The faculty members and students of the department enjoyed the event with great pleasure.
