Event Details

BUBT English Club arranged an English Olympiad, an English language competition, for the students of BUBT on March 5, 2023, in the Department of English. There were two parts to the Olympiad: Essay Writing and Quiz Quest. The competition was conducted under the supervision of the committee members and faculty members. The students of different departments of the university participated in the language competition enthusiastically. The vigorous efforts of the executive team, volunteers, Club Moderator Md. Solaiman Alam, Lecturer, Department of English and Chief Advisor Prof. Syed Anwarul Huq made the event run smoothly.

The club organized the prize-giving ceremony of the competition on May 14, 2023. Prof. Syed Anwarul Huq, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Mohammad Shawkat Ali, Chairman of the Department of English and Advisor of the club, as well as Md. Solaiman Alam, Moderator of the club, were present at the ceremony. They delivered inspiring speeches and left a lasting impact on all those present.

The event was hosted by none other than the President of the club, Tasnin Ahmed, who thanked everyone for being an integral part of the Olympiad. The top three placeholders of the Essay Writing and the Quiz Quest categories were awarded an assortment of books as well as certificates. The club congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to keep striving for greatness.
