August 27, 2025: The Department of Law and Justice at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) introduced the Best Teacher Award – 2025 to recognize and honor outstanding contributions of faculty members in the fields of teaching, research, and academic service.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT, who, in his address, emphasized the importance of quality teaching, impactful research, and dedicated academic service in building a stronger academic community.

Also present at the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed, Treasurer of BUBT, Dr. Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Registrar of BUBT, Prof. Dr. Syed Sarfaraj Hamid, Dean, Faculty of Law; and Md. Ashif-Ul-Haque, Assistant Professor & Chairman, Department of Law and Justice, along with faculty members of the department.

Based on comprehensive evaluation criteria encompassing teaching excellence, research achievements, and academic service, Ms. Tanzima Akter Sumi, Assistant Professor, secured the highest distinction this year and was declared the recipient of the Best Teacher Award – 2025 from the Department of Law and Justice, BUBT.

The award reflected BUBT’s continued commitment to recognizing and celebrating academic excellence, while motivating faculty members to achieve higher standards in education and research.
