Workshop on “Funded Research Proposal Preparation” Held at BUBT

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) held a special workshop on “Funded Research Proposal Preparation” on August 28, 2025, at the BUBT International Conference Hall. The workshop was aimed at guiding researchers, faculty, and students in preparing competitive and impactful research proposals for funding opportunities.
The workshop was graced by Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, Vice Chancellor of BUBT, as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of well-prepared research proposals in securing funding and advancing academic excellence.
The Keynote Speaker, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Professor & Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Dhaka, shared his insights on structuring effective proposals, highlighting strategies to make research projects compelling to funding bodies.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Chairman of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BUBT, served as the Session Chair and discussed best practices in research planning, execution, and presentation for maximizing the impact of proposals.
Deans of various faculties, faculty members, and administrative officers of BUBT, along with students, actively participated in the event.
The workshop was organized by the BUBT Graduate School and provided participants with valuable guidance to enhance their academic and research journey. Attendees gained practical knowledge on proposal writing and funding opportunities, fostering a stronger research culture within the university.
