The much-anticipated Vice Chancellor’s Football Tournament 2025 was concluded with the grand finale at the Sports Complex of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) on Monday, September 1, 2025. Two thrilling finals were held separately for the men’s and women’s categories.

In the men’s final, the Department of English faced the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). After an intense and competitive battle, the Department of English emerged as the champion with a remarkable performance.

In the women’s final, the Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences competed against the Faculty of Law. After a closely contested match, the Faculty of Law triumphed and lifted the champion’s trophy.

Following the finals, a prize-giving ceremony was held. The Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUBT, Professor Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, attended as the Chief Guest. Congratulating the winners and participants, he stated:
“Such sporting competitions played a vital role in enhancing students’ physical fitness, mental growth, and team spirit. At BUBT, we always gave equal importance to co-curricular activities alongside academic excellence. Initiatives like this tournament would continue on a regular basis in the future.”

The event was also graced by the distinguished members of the BUBT Trusty Board, Deans of different faculties, the Registrar, Heads of Departments, faculty members, officials, and a large number of enthusiastic students. BUBT Sports Club successfully organized the event. The entire event was completed in a lively and festive atmosphere.
