To mark the occasion, the university hosted a thoughtful and intellectually engaging discussion session aimed at honoring educators and reflecting on the significance of teaching in shaping society.

At the beginning of the program, a moment of silence was observed in memory of the eminent teacher, scholar, and writer Syed Monjurul Islam.

The session was graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. A B M Shawkat Ali, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he paid heartfelt tribute to the teachers who influenced him during his formative years. He emphasized the lifelong impact that educators have on their students, not just through classroom instruction but through personal mentorship and moral guidance. The event began with a welcome speech by Mr. Thawhidul Kabir, Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Department of Management, BUBT.
