We manage the complete employee lifecycle for all faculty and staff, from the initial appointment through to retirement.   1. a) Recruitment and Staffing
  • Talent Acquisition: Managing the entire process of hiring, from creating job descriptions and advertising open positions to screening applications, conducting interviews, and making job offers for both faculty and staff.
  • Onboarding: Facilitating the orientation and integration of new hires into the university community, including processing paperwork, explaining policies, and providing initial training.
  1. b) Employee Records and Administration
  • Personnel Management: Maintaining accurate and confidential records for all employees, including personal details, contracts, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • HR Information Systems (HRIS): Managing the university's HR database and systems to ensure efficient and accurate data management, including self-service portals for employees.
  1. C) Compensation and Benefits
  • Payroll Administration: Ensuring that all faculty and staff are paid accurately and on time, including managing salary structures, deductions, and tax compliance.
  • Benefits Management: Administering and communicating employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, and other perks.
  1. d) Employee Relations
  • Conflict Resolution: Acting as a mediator and providing guidance to resolve workplace disputes and conflicts between employees or between an employee and a supervisor.
  • Grievance Handling: Managing the formal grievance process, ensuring that employee complaints are heard, investigated, and addressed in a fair and timely manner.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensuring that all university policies and procedures are in compliance with national labor laws and regulations.

  • Performance Appraisals: Overseeing the annual performance review process, providing tools and guidance to help supervisors and employees set goals, give feedback, and assess performance.
  • Training and Development: Identifying training needs and organizing professional development opportunities, workshops, and courses to enhance the skills and career growth of employees.

  • Workforce Planning: Collaborating with academic and administrative departments to forecast future staffing needs and develop strategies to ensure the university has the right talent to achieve its long-term goals.
